This was my first crack at a Guitar for an individual. My first sale. My first work for a customer. For a good friend of mine, no less. His first Guitar, my first Guitar work. A 1987, Hohner Bass Guitar.
I bought this second hand for John, this was an order I had before my business was even an idea. The lad I bought it off had already stripped the previous finish and paint off, (which saved me a job).
I went to start this for John, originally painting it Purple, (for the storm and clouds). I then, after regretting this decision for a while, removed that paint and Started again using white and thought the lightning would be best in yellow.
After cleaning the neck, Painting the body solid white, I then used Grey spray paint for the clouds and hand-drew the lightning on and sealed it all with several layers of Clear Coat.
This was a great first Guitar for a Customer and was a good challenge for Myself.
